Let’s schedule a short phone call to make a test prep and academic support plan for your student.
Many students have free time right now and we’d love to chat about how to use it productively. Use our convenient scheduling tool to schedule a brief, free consultation.
AP tests will be offered online and in a new format this May. The tests will be open book, 45-minutes long (instead of 2+ hours), and free-response only (ie. just essays or problem sets, no multiple choice). We think this format gives students a fantastic opportunity to prepare for their AP tests this year and we have several AP experts on our tutoring staff.
We’re offering small-group AP prep classes in the following subjects:
AP Calculus: May 4 – May 8, 5:30 – 7:00 PM
AP Chemistry: May 4 – May 8, 6:00 – 7:30 PM
AP Language & Composition: May 11 – May 15, 5:00 – 6:30 PM
Our tutors are also available for one-on-one AP prep tutoring in the whole gamut of AP courses (Literature, Biology, Physics, World History, European History, Human Geography, Psychology, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, US Government, Chemistry, Calculus, Language & Composition, US History, etc.). Please give us a call to set up a great plan!
Not taking AP classes?
No problem! Our tutors can help students stay on track with virtually any high school class. Please let us know how we can help.
Test prep on hold? This is a great time to get a head start on college essays. Our in-house essay master Helen Terndrup is running college essay boot camps to help students navigate the Common Application.
As you know, several recent SAT and ACT test administrations have been cancelled and the College Board and ACT are working to reschedule these tests for future dates. We expect some tests to be rescheduled for this summer, but don’t have any firm dates yet. In the meantime, we’re advising students affected by test cancellations to register for the SAT on June 6 or the ACT on June 13. Those tests are currently still scheduled to run as planned.
Twice-weekly Practice Tests: All current Mindfish students are welcome to join us for the online proctored practice tests we’re offering. Select a test date here.
Weekly SAT and ACT review sessions: we encourage all current Mindfish students to join us for our free weekly review sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays. Sign up here.
Discounted tutoring for students affected by test cancellations: if your test was cancelled and you need to add some tutoring hours for a future test date, we’re here to support you. Please give us a call so we can set up a plan from here.
Due to recent test cancellations and uncertainty regarding future test dates, several colleges and universities have adopted test-optional admissions policies for this fall (high school class of 2021). Some of these policies are essentially short term experiments (one year for University of California schools) and some of them are permanent (ie. Indiana University).
”We appreciated the care and attention we received for our son as he prepared for the SAT and ACT Exams. We were so impressed with such great tutors and their knowledge and experiences with exams and the subject matter. Thank you!
